NGIN visits Bank of New York Mellon

Last month we took a trip to Investment Bank BNY Mellon for our 4th formal event of 2015.

The evening started with a live showcase of the tech startups that BNY Mellon have recently invested in, and was was followed by a talk from BNY Mellon’s Head of Insurance about the interaction between banking and Insurance.

Client Executive for the Insurance Segment Kate Anderson then gave us a whistle-stop tour of the bank’s findings in their recent work on Millennials and their attitudes towards savings & pensions.

The results of their paper ‘The Generation Game: Listen to your future, or it won’t listen to you’ provided a frank and extremely useful overview of the monetary problems facing our generation, whilst giving the financial services industry direction on adapting to our problems.

The evening provided a fascinating perspective on the future of technology and the future of savings & pensions, whilst giving members to opportunity to network with BNY Mellon employees.
